Death in Innocence
(Written on the Thar Tragedy)
Every toddler and infant
A star of our firmament
Can anything be worst?
Than death from thirst
The heavens quivered
The earth shuddered
Kids writhing in agony
Death crept to many
Tragic and pitiful
Poignant and painful
The heart does bleed
Eyes are sore indeed
A drought managed badly
Led to infant deaths sadly
